India’s Industry 4.0, Up Close
Over five days, ICDK curated a comprehensive programme across Bangalore and Chennai, helping the delegation engage with leading academic institutions, R&D centres, and advanced manufacturers. From AI applications and robotics to digital twins and frugal innovation, the programme offered a front-row seat to India’s Industry 4.0 journey.
In addition to technology and process innovations, the delegation gained valuable perspectives on inclusive employment practices and workforce development – key elements in India’s maturing industrial framework. Constructive and mutual knowledge exchange formed a central pillar of the visit, with candid conversations and reflections benefiting both Indian and Danish participants.
“It’s clear that India is placing a strong and deliberate focus on manufacturing and digitalisation, with an impressive pace of development and a vast pool of STEM graduates. The delegation also observed a growing emphasis on safety within the sector.” says Ulrich Hedegaard Brorson, Vice President, Group AME, Grundfos
The visit served as a valuable source of inspiration for Group AME, Grundfos and stands as an example of how Danish companies can engage with India’s evolving manufacturing and innovation landscape, with a learning mindset and openness to future opportunities.
